Violinist of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra Vladimir Tsypin had been a professor of Leschetizky Summer Academy since its opening in Vienna. A critically acclaimed soloist a chamber musician, he performed on four continents. He is in demand as a teacher of master classes all over the world, from North Korea to Argentina. He has taught in Taiwan, and presently is on the faculty of New York Philharmonic Orchestral Academy in Shanghai. Mr. Tsypin had been an Associate Principal Second violin of the Philharmonic for 17 years, and a member of the orchestra audition committees. He has served as a judge at the International Johannes Brahms Competition in Poertschach, Austria. He was born in Ukraine and graduated from Latvian State Conservatory in Riga, Latvia.
